The expected growth of tourists from and to China in the coming years will be enormous. That’s why World Tourism Forum Lucerne signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Shanghai Government during its Talent Boost event in Shanghai. The targets are clear:
a Chinese delegation at the Forum in Lucerne in April 2015 and an own biennial Forum in Shanghai as of autumn 2016! We are happy that you all are part of the World Tourism Forum Lucerne family and therefore as well part of this exciting journey.

TALENT BOOST IN SHANGHAI: THE CHINA VISION |

On the 22nd of April 2014 World Tourism Forum Lucerne has organised a
Talent Boost event in Shanghai together with our new partner school in Shanghai, the
East China Normal University. Chinese Executives from the travel and tourism industry talked with our
World Tourism Forum Lucerne partners Value Retail, Kempinski, |
Korn/Ferry and Swissnex about how our industry can become more attractive for Young Talents and the Next Generation and what actions have to be taken. Have a look at a short
report and some
pictures. We will organise a Talent Boost event every second year together with one of our partner universities. The next one will be held in spring 2016.

YOUNG TALENT AWARD AT WORLD TOURISM FORUM LUCERNE 2015 |

The
Young Talent Programme 2015 has been launched successfully at the
Talent Boost event in Shanghai. The core of the Programme is the Young Talent Award at the Forum next April. Students of our 14 Partner Universities will hand in their papers with innovative and promising concepts in the course of this year.
|
The best Young Talents will be selected by end December 2014 and will consequently be invited to participate in World Tourism Forum Lucerne in April 2015 where they will follow a Career
Planning Session, participate in all parts of the Forum and attend the significant Gala evening including the Young Talent Award. The
World Tourism Forum Lucerne 2013 video shows why Young Talents are so important to us. |
