Where global leaders in the travel, tourism & hospitality industry meet the next generation
Lucerne, 2 February 2015

Dear Sir or Madam

Recently an important banker told me that travel and tourism have to become a more integrated industry. He said we were too self-oriented, and that we neglected the broader aspects and perspectives of our industry. In a way this banker is right, I think. We should connect, cooperate and act much more with other industries, make travel and tourism a part of their agendas and bring the right people together. That is exactly what World Tourism Forum Lucerne offers: the travel, tourism and hospitality industry together in one room, the exchange with the Next Generation, the inspiration from new start-up companies, and the learning from other industries. Walk the talk, dear Mr Barth, and be with us when Jeremy Rifkin, the economic and social theorist explains how our industry can survive the zero marginal cost society.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you soon in Lucerne.

PRESENTATION OF OUR PREMIUM PARTNERS 2015:
MYCLIMATE AND THE WORLD TOURISM FORUM - A LOGICAL PARTNERSHIP

Travel opens up new horizons. Yet this valuable commodity comes at a price: travel and accommodation inevitably result in CO2 emissions. For this reason, the travel and tourism sector is a significant factor worldwide in terms of the impact of humans on the climate.

At the same time, this industry is also particularly affected by climate change and its consequences. Moreover, the environmental awareness of guests has developed increasingly in recent years.
For more than ten years, myclimate has worked with many significant companies and institutions from the travel and tourism industry. We see this sector as an important partner for the joint attainment of active and measurable climate protection!
The World Tourism Forum has established itself as a forward-looking, innovative tourism platform with huge international force. As a Premium Partner, myclimate has thus found itself a perfect stage. At the same time, we want to enhance the event in content terms through our know-how. Climate protection and sustainability offer opportunities for the entire industry; new potential can be discovered. We want to take an initial step in our “Time to Act” discussion on 23 April.
myclimate is looking forward to your participation, inspiring contact and discussions on tourism and sustainability.
