Rainer Ortlepp, Director Marketing and Communications

Rainer Ortlepp was born in 1951. He graduated in German studies, history and political science from the University of Mainz. From 1979 to 1984 he worked for the media division at Deutsche Lufthansa in Köln. Thereafter he changed to Condor Flugdienst in Neu Isenburg (Germany) where he chaired the public relations section. 1992 he assumed the lead of the press office at Deutsche Lufthansa in Frankfurt. One year later, Mr Ortlepp qualified as press and public relations director of Touristik Union International (TUI) in Hannover. With the foundation of the TUI Group in November 1997 he became director of communication, and in 2000 director of public relations at the newly established TUI GROUP. As spokesman of the board he assumed the installation and the management of TV Travelshop Germany in the same year. In December 2004 he changed to his current position as communication and marketing director of Deutsche Seereederei, Rostock, located in Hamburg
