Mireille Faugère, CEO for long distance passengers and services and Member of the Board, SNCF

After being graduated from HEC (Business School), Mireille Faugère started her professional career in the railway operations field. In 1981, she became deputy chief in charge of safety for the Mantes-la-Jolie area. From 1982 to 1986, she has supervised the Marketing Section, part of the Commercial Department.
In 1986 Mireille Faugère was assigned to the Major Projects Department, in charge of economical studies. She studied the high speed rail economics. She held office as TGV Méditerranée Project Mamager from 1989 to 1991. During the 2 next years she managed the operations of the whole Montparnasse station area, and in 1993, she came back to the Company Head Offices and supervised the Strategic Section of the Department for Economy, Strategy and Investments.

In August 1996, Mrs Faugère was Deputy Director for SNCF Long Distance Passengers Services. In 2000, she has created and chaired the voyages-sncf.com website. Then, in June, she took the management of SNCF Participations, a body grouping all SNCF subsidiaries.

In May 2003, Mireille Faugère has been nominated as a Member of the SNCF Board of Directors and Director for Long Distance Passengers & Services, so called «Voyageurs France Europe». «Voyageurs France Europe» is one of the four SNCF branches. It encompasses all activities developed under the TGV, Corail, Eurostar, Thalys, Lyria , Artesia and Elipsos trademarks and joint ventures with European partners.

Since Octobre 2006. Mireille Faugère is chairwoman of Voyages-sncf.com, 1st website in France, and in 2008, Mireille Faugère has been nominated Deputy General Director for Long distance Passengers & Services by Guillaume Pépy, Président of SNCF.
